The disruptive impact of COVID 19 on businesses around the world can not be overstated. Some of those most impacted were urban retailers dependent on large volumes of foot traffic and local trade forced suddenly to find new working models to sustain their businesses, let alone drive growth.

While Amazon Go was able to weather the pandemic, they were also keen to evolve the businesses to better meet the future needs of customers now working, shopping, and socializing closer to home.
