Next Level Apparel is a leading manufacturer of premium “blank” apparel, selling t-shirts and other apparel to a range of customers including large clothing brands and distributors looking for scale and inventory, printers and designers looking for the ideal garment for their designs, and small business owners looking for a way to gain visibility for their brands. JAM developed their brand positioning and updated their brand identity.

Operating a fashion brand that is designed to be invisible poses many challenges. Fortunately, Next Level Apparel is known and loved for making what many of their buyers believe to be the most comfortable premium blank t-shirt available. We developed a brand positioning and identity that celebrated their passion for that iconic garment and armed the Next Level Apparel team with a toolkit that was bold, flexible, and simple to implement and maintain over time.

In a category dominated by simple, type-forward logos, we knew an icon would not only differentiate Next Level Apparel, but also reinforce the brand’s leadership position. When it came to design, it was important the icon reflected the fit and softness the brand’s flagship garment is known for. Its silhouette – combined with an upward facing arrow – visually manifest the name of the company.
